Celebrating 6 years together

Phew!  What a month we’ve had.  It was so nice to be able to feel complete about a lot of things and stop to celebrate everything we’ve done.  Most people are really good at celebrating achievements and accomplishments.  Tony and I tend to just let it all blend in with the rest of every day life.

Lucky for me, he found  more reasons than just to celebrate our 6th year anniversary of being together and decided to take us out for dinner.  We went out to dinner to celebrate me getting my visa application submitted in time, us both completing the 30 day yoga challenge and our first advanced yoga class together as well 🙂

Here’s how we celebrated.  Dinner at Babylon, Kensington Roof Gardens.  We ate a lot.  I really liked the Cornish Crab pasta and Tony enjoyed the Duck Leg.  The starter of Treacle Smoke Salmon was pretty good too!

There’s a club just below this and the roof gardens has got flamingos and other birds and animals.  We didn’t get to see anything because it was so dark.  Maybe we’ll go back during the day in summer time.

Being situated in Kensington, it’s a bit posh and everyone was dressed up to the nines and had their hair done etc.  For a moment I felt  like I should have bought a new outfit and bling to fit in but that’s the cool thing about being married, there’s no need to peacock.  I already have what they’re still trying to get – a lovely, handsome man who treats me well and takes me out to posh dinners 🙂

Drinks: Apple Mojito & Juniper Love (made with Juniper berries) Starters: Treacle Cured Salmon and Smoked Gigha Island Halibut, Quail and Field Mushrooms Mains: Duck Leg with sweet potato puree, sautéed spinach and prune sauce, Cornish Crab with Nero Tagliolini with a Lemongrass and ginger foam Dessert: Cheese Platter for 2 (French Goat's Cheese, Hard cheese, Blue) with crackers, grapes, celery and white wine apple jelly

Now before signing off, I wanted to show  you this…  a before and after of us 🙂

6 years together. They say that couples who are together for a while start to look like each other. We're proving that for sure - face shape and even skin colour is starting to look the same! At least we're aging well :)
