Taking A Breather

It’s that time of year.  The seasons change, the cold sets in, the nights get longer and the body and mind also get ready for change.

It’s the quiet before the storm.

Soon everyone will do the mad rush to get things done before the end of the year.  Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas.  One celebration after another and before you know it, it’s 2016.

So take a breather.  You deserve it.  Feel the change and then move with it.

Kind of like sitting on your surfboard out at sea.  Soon the wave will come and you will have to paddle to catch it.  Until then, enjoy the sound of the sea, hearing the seagulls overhead, breathing in the sea air and feeling the sun on your skin.

We’re in the final quarter of 2015.  Take a look back and see all that you’ve accomplished, how much you’ve learned, what you’ve made progress on, what you’ve changed for the better and see all the things you have in your life that you can be grateful for.  After all, every day of life, every breath, every experience has been a gift.  You have had many present moments.

Look at what you want to change, work out how you can tweak them and resolve to make those changes in the next few months.

Then when you’re ready, get on your board and start paddling.  You’ll know when it’s time and you will fly, riding that wave and letting its momentum take you through and beyond the New Year.

If you’ve taken a breather, it’s much easier to enjoy the ride!
